Wes Anderson Wedding Inspiration // Styled Shoot

When India and Amy approached me to be a part of this Wes Anderson Wedding inspiration shoot, I basically was already ready with my camera. With films like Grand Budapest Hotel, I've been inspired by Wes Anderson's clean lines and symmetrical details, imaginative scenarios and whimsical words. His movies are a visual dream to watch, so it was really incredible to draw some inspiration from him for this shoot. Like all styled shoots, things get a little crazy, and we had an unexpected snowstorm on our scheduled shoot day- but in the end, I thrive in crazy weather situations and it just seemed to add more magic to the day. We had a kick ass team of vendors involved, from Amy's planning/styling skills to India's bright florals, Patina's furniture rentals, the Haiku Guys + Gals showing up in style and writing brilliant poetry, hair/makeup by Rebecca Paige, Invites by Black Lab Studio, THE CAKE by Rose from Whisk Me Away Cakes, modern venue Berg'n, and finally our incredible REAL COUPLE Da'ja & Odalis, who were nothing short of beautiful to photograph. It was basically a colorful explosion of creativity and I am just so happy I got to be a part of this shoot! On top of it all, it's also featured on Brit + Co, AND on Catalyst Wed Co!! I'll leave it at this: “Why do you always use binoculars?” “It helps me see things closer. Even if they’re not very far away. I pretend it’s my magic power.” “That sounds like poetry. Poems don’t always have to rhyme, you know. They’re just supposed to be creative.” What a team! Make sure to follow everyone involved on IG!
