The Muller Family

If you asked me to name all the things I love about Dan and Lauren, the list would go on and on. These two have been such a huge support for me these past few years- and when they found out they were pregnant, Dan messaged me and asked if I would be down for coming home for a few weeks this year to shoot with him in February, the month little Max was due. I had been going back and forth on moving back to Nebraska during the time he asked me, so thought it would be a perfect opportunity to go home for a few weeks, shoot some weddings (and possibly take over if Lauren went into labor) with him and be there to help out when little Max was born and see if I really wanted to move back home! Well the hilarious thing is that I was home for 3 1/2 weeks- with Lauren due right in the middle of it, and Max never came. We all went out to lunch the day before I left and were laughing about the fact that she was almost 2 weeks overdue and he was still just chillin in there. He was born healthy just a few days after I came back to Seattle and my gosh isn't he the cutest! My plan of taking newborn photos didn't happen, but luckily Dan and Lauren were my best friend Kirsten's wedding photographer which I was in this May so I finally got to do photos and meet the little guy! Of course Dan and Lauren being so awesome, they asked me if I wanted to stay an extra week after Kirsten's wedding and photograph a 3 day Indian wedding with them. What do you guess I said to that?! It was such an incredible few weeks back in May- with being a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding to photographing that beautiful weekend wedding celebration to photographing this sweet family that is near and dear to my heart. Because of them, I got to be home for a whooping 5 weeks this year, and I can't thank them enough for trusting me to take over if Lauren went into labor in February and to photograph the henna ceremony of Shivani and Chris solo one day and then shoot with them another day of the celebrations. I got to witness a lot of Nebraska beauty this year thanks to them, and although Nebraska is and will always be close to my heart, I made the decision to stick it out in Seattle for now. Who knows what the future may hold for me and my traveling self, but all I know is that this family right here has given me so much to look forward to in my career and life. They are some of the most genuine and talented people I know and it warms my heart to see them doing so well in their business (which BTW you should check out their ridiculously beautiful work HERE) and to have a little family now, outside their cats, with Max. Not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous to photograph them since they are both so talented themselves, but it turned out to be even better than I could hope for. So excited to share these images with you all.
