I could of never dreamed of the beauty I witnessed on this day.

The light was perfection, location even more than that, and to top it all off, I got to photograph a talented and beautiful friend.

Lauren and I went to Brooks together- she was just named one of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography. She’s pretty incredible. To be able to collaborate with such a beautiful soul was amazing. She took some photos of me also- it was such a fun adventure, especially to see how far each of us have come in these past 3 years.

We had florals done by the amazing Sara Jane of Terra Bella Flowers. You must get florals done by her- she makes some stunning creations. Also, giving her creative freedom to make us crowns and a bouquet was the best choice because we were floored by what she came up with. Gold and warm rich toned florals were the perfect combination with our location and outfits!

Lauren and I hiked up the 1.9 miles (in full dress- we did have good hiking boots on though!) to the top with as Lauren put it “too many tote bags.” I’ve honestly never hiked with this much gear and clothes ever, so it was a challenge. People also probably thought we were insane since we had our flower crowns on our heads the entire time! We claimed we wouldn’t stay until there was basically no light, but who are we kidding? The light just kept getting better so we definitely hiked down 1.9 miles in the pitch dark. (I remembered my head lamp, don’t worry!) Probably not the smartest decision in my life but it’s one I’ll never regret because this was once in a lifetime kind of light. The best light I have ever seen. What a perfect November day.
